With its accessible pricing, tasty varietal wines, and cheerful approach to business, Toad Hollow Vineyards has long been recognized for its lighter take on the wine industry. Our iconic pen and ink Toad character is emblematic of the winery’s upbeat philosophy. The Toad graces our wine labels, appears in posters that decorate our Healdsburg tasting room, and finds its way onto great-looking T-shirts.
The Toad Hollow team, led by owner Frankie Williams, coined the phrase “the Fine Art of Fun” to describe the winery’s style—serious about producing respectable wines while remaining lighthearted about business.
The Toad and the slogan go beyond our team and tasting room to retail wine stores all over the country. The Fine Art of Fun is also prominent on the winery’s social media platforms, including this blog, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter (#THfineartoffun).
The Fine Art of Fall -
In the fall of 2017, Toad Hollow launches the Fine Art of Fall. This new slogan brings the focus to our red wines. The showcased reds are our Monterey County Pinot Noir, our Sonoma County Merlot, and our Lodi Cabernet.
In another take on having fun, the Fine Art of Fall campaign invites Instagram users to post fall pastime photos using #THfineartoffall. Share images of your favorite fall activities—jumping in leaves, cycling through fall colors, fixing a great stew or soup, or watching a football game. Photos that include toads, Toad Hollow T-shirts, and Toad Hollow wines are encouraged. Maureen Erickson will create a print that incorporates the winning image and our famous Toad. The winner will be announced through the winery’s social media platforms and will receive a framed print signed by both Erickson and Williams.
