The California Wine Festival is a showcase of California's premier wine and culinary professionals. At each location, the Festival showcases nearly 200 wines from over 75 wineries, 30 of the areas fine dining restaurants, spirit purveyors, gourmet food companies, and lifestyle exhibitors. The mission of the California Wine Festivals is to promote and celebrate fine wine and foods of California.

NEW Art on Display in the Tasting Room!
Maureen Erickson - Toad Hollow label designer and artist extrordinaire will be introducing her newest pieces this coming weekend at the Toad Hollow Tasting Room. Please stop by and sample some Toad Hollow wines while viewing Maureen's whimsical artwork. She will be available to sign posters and will have her limited artwork on sale to the public. The tasting room will be open from 11 am - 5 pm daily. Cheers!

Save the Date ... Dr. Toad's Club Annual Party at the Ranch & Summer Wine Pick Up!
For Our Local and Visiting Wine Club Members - Are you looking for a great reason to visit Sonoma County? Well you have just found it! Please join us from 3:00 to 6:00 PM on Saturday, June 16th at The Toad Hollow Ranch to sip, nosh, nibble and pick up your summer club wine selection. Summer is always a great reason to celebrate and we can help you do that in person and help you stock up for your own gatherings. Club members will enjoy an additional 5% off any extra wine purchased at the club party! The Toad Hollow Ranch is located at 4024 Westside Road, just a few miles outside of the town of Healdsburg. Our Ranch location (aka Toad Hollow World Headquarters) is home of our beautiful Goldie's Pinot Noir and Richard McDowell Merlot Vineyards and some of the best views to be seen in the Russian River Valley.
This year, we are combining the June wine club pick up along with our annual summer party. More details will follow soon so please check back here again. Club members, be sure to keep your eye out for the e-mail invitation. This is a complimentary event for our club members or $10 for non-members. This fee will be waived upon joining our club or with a purchase of any Toad Hollow item that afternoon at the party.
If you can't make it to the party, you can come and get your club selection from our tasting room during regular business hours with our wine pick up window starting June 7th and running through June 30th. Wine pick ups are not limited to just local Sonoma County Club Members - if you know you will be in our area around this time period and want to save the shipping cost, just let Kathleen know before June 1st and we can hold your wine in our tasting room. Barrel Tasting
Members of the Wine Road would like to welcome you to our wineries and lodgings for an exciting weekend of wine tasting. This is your chance to sample wines from the barrel, talk to winemakers and explore the beautiful Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys.
Barrel Tasting is not a food or themed event. It's all about the WINE...many wineries offer "futures" on their barrel samples. This is a chance to purchase wine now, often at a discount, then come back to the winery when the wine is bottled, typically 12-18 months from now. Many wines are so limited, buying futures is your only chance to purchase them.
Attendees are encouraged to pack a picnic as most wineries will not have food for this event. The ticket price includes the opportunity to sample wine from the barrel and in most cases also trying a limited number of current release wines.
Winter Wineland
This is the 20th anniversary of Winter Wineland and a great opportunity to meet winemakers, taste limited production wines, new releases or library wines. Some wineries will offer food pairings and others will have tours. Each participating winery will either host an artist for the weekend, so you will enjoy their fine-art, or the winery will have an educational display to help you learn about vineyard management or wine making....thus, Wine ~ Art ~ Education. Download the detailed program to see exactly what each winery will offer for the weekend.....then plan your tasting adventure.
Ticket price will include wine tasting at all of the participating wineries for the weekend.
This event does not take place at one location. You travel from winery to winery, visiting the ones you are interested in exploring.
Downtown Holiday Party
Healdsburg’s annual Downtown Holiday Party, sponsored by the Healdsburg Merchant’s Association, will take place on Friday, November 25th.
The event highlights the downtown business area, featuring open houses, food, wine and holiday treats at participating businesses. Jazz music will be playing, and horse-drawn carriage rides around town will be available. Many shops will feature special sales for this event, and special packages are offered for accommodations. This is also the occasion for the lighting of the town Christmas tree in the Plaza, sponsored by VNA Hospice of Sonoma County.

The Healdsburg Crush Festival!

Dressage in the Wine Country
Toad Hollow supports lots of local events and we're not just horsin' around... We'll be tipping some Toad for the 27th Dressage in the Wine Country. The “DWC” is a showcase of local professional and Olympic caliber equestrians. The primary focus is dressage, which is the stepping stone to the amazing acrobatics of those white Lipizzaner stallions. Jumping, western reining & driving are also often represented. We Toads know a little something about jumping but this should be really spectacular. Event location is at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. Chef Charlie Palmer invites you to the Sixth Annual Celebration of Pigs & Pinot, March 18-19, 2011 at Hotel Healdsburg. The celebratory weekend offers a series of intimate dining and educational events hosted by Chef Palmer. A cast of Master Sommeliers and international celebrity chefs will showcase some of the world’s greatest Pinots with perfect pork pairings.
All proceeds from Pigs & Pinot benefit Share Our Strength and local Healdsburg Education (The Healdsburg Education Foundation, St. John school and The Healdsburg School).
